Douglas Thomas, M.D., grew up in Las Vegas and graduated from Bishop Gorman High School in 1977. He received, with honors, a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of San Diego in 1981. He graduated, with honors, from medical school at The University of Southern California in 1985. Remaining at USC, he completed an internship in pediatrics and his residency in dermatology. He was selected Chief Resident in 1988, and appointed Assistant Clinical Professor in 1989.
From 1989-2006 Dr. Thomas was one of the principle physicians at Las Vegas Skin and Cancer Clinics, where he was appointed Medical Director in 1996. Since 1991, he has been a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Internal Medicine/Dermatology at The University of Nevada School of Medicine. He has published multiple articles in The Journal of Infectious Disease, Journal of Cutaneous Pathology, and The Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Thomas’ special interests include pediatric, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology, including the treatment of skin cancer. He is a member of the American Society for MOHS surgery and the Las Vegas Dermatology Society. Dr. Thomas is also one of the earliest members of the Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada, providing free care to local residents experiencing financial hardship. He has been voted as Las Vegas’ Top Dermatologist in Las Vegas Life Magazine since 2002. He and his wife Patty have two children, Roberto and Daniella.

A native of Seal Beach, CA, Dr. Lieberman is a board-certified dermatologist, and completed his dermatology residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, where he was selected chief resident. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from UC Berkeley with a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology, and received his medical training at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, where he graduated with “highest distinction”. He was also elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society in his third year of medical school, a distinction reserved for the top 5% of his medical school class. Dr. Lieberman completed his internship in Internal Medicine at the UCLA/West Los Angeles VA Medical Center. Dr. Lieberman joined Thomas Dermatology in 2009.
Dr. Lieberman has received extensive post-graduate training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and is a member of the American Society for Mohs Surgery and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He also specializes in cosmetic dermatology – including the use of dermal fillers, botulinum toxin, sclerotherapy, and laser resurfacing procedures – experience that was gained under the mentorship of local and nationally recognized experts. He is a consultant and speaker regionally for several pharmaceutical companies and has published articles in multiple peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Drugs and Dermatology and the Journal of Clinical Oncology. He is actively involved in the local Las Vegas dermatology community and leads the journal club discussions at the monthly meetings of the Las Vegas Dermatology Society.
Dr. Lieberman values teaching and mentorship. He has been appointed the director of the Dermatology course at the new UNLV School of Medicine, scheduled to open in 2017, and has taken a lead role in developing the dermatology curriculum. Dr. Lieberman is married to Brooke, a native of Henderson, and they are proud parents to their young sons, Nathan and Harrison.

James Q. Del Rosso, DO is originally from Brooklyn, New York, born in 1954. After attending pharmacy school at St. John’s University in Jamaica, New York, and completing a hospital pharmacy residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he attended medical school at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. Dr. Del Rosso completed his rotating internship in Columbus, Ohio, his dermatology residency training at Atlantic Skin Disease Association in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and his fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He is board certified in both Dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology and the American Osteopathic Association. He is a Fellow of Distinction of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Mohs Surgery, and the American Society of Mohs Surgery. In 2016, Dr. Del Rosso received an honorary award for lifetime achievement from the AAD for his continued contribution to dermatology education.
Dr. Del Rosso has been in private practice of dermatology and cutaneous surgery since 1986, and is at Lakes Dermatology in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is also Research Director of Del Rosso Dermatology Research in Las Vegas, and has over twenty years of experience in dermatology clinical research.
In addition to clinical practice and research, Dr. Del Rosso remains heavily involved in dermatology education over several years, through both invited presentations both nationally and internationally, and as author of several peer-reviewed publications. He has spoken and written on several areas, including acne, rosacea, actinic keratosis/skin cancer, epidermal barrier function, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, cutaneous infections (bacterial, fungal, viral), and dermatologic therapeutics. He is Clinical Editor-in-Chief of The Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology, annual guest editor of the acne and rosacea issue for the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology, and frequent author of the Drug Therapy Topics section for Cutis. He served as Editor for 5 years for Yearbook of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, has been an invited Editor of three issues of Dermatologic Clinics, and is Co-Editor of the textbook, Acne Vulgaris. His important contributions include leading multiple articles for the American Acne and Rosacea Society on rosacea, acne in adult females, and antibiotic resistance in dermatology. Dr. Del Rosso has previously served as president of the AARS and is chair of the AARS Education Committee.
An important contribution to dermatology made by Dr. Del Rosso is founder in 2005, and continuing director of the Scientific Panel on Antibiotic Use, which currently works under the AARS. Since 2005, SPAUD has held three meetings and has contributed several publications to peer-reviewed and indexed medical literature on considerations related to antibiotic use in dermatology, and the optimal and responsible incorporation of antibiotic therapy when it is needed. He is also a regular Co-Director of several major national dermatology meetings, has participated in educational and publication activities with The Rosacea International Study Group and the Council for Nail Disorders, and in guidelines initiatives for psoriasis, acne, rosacea, atopic dermatitis, and skin barrier repair.

Dr. Brent D. Michaels is a board certified dermatologist. He is a long time resident of Nevada and graduated high school from Bishop Gorman and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Nevada, Reno. Before going to medical school, Dr. Michaels obtained a law degree and practiced in Las Vegas, mostly as a Deputy Attorney General for the Nevada Attorney General’s Office. Following his career in law, he entered medical school locally at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Thereafter, he completed his internship and Dermatology residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center where he served as chief resident.
He has had the opportunity to publish articles in numerous peer-reviewed journals including Journal of Drugs and Dermatology, Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology, Cutis, and Journal of Cutaneous Pathology. He also was a resident co-contributor on the editorial board for The Year Book of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery and a contributing author for the Comprehensive Dermatologic Drug Therapy textbook.
During his free time, he enjoys fishing, traveling and spending quality time with his family. Dr. Michaels is married to Susun and has 3 beautiful daughters, Lauren, Sophia and Sadie.

Anita Pomerantz is a Board Certified Radiation Oncologist. She was born and raised in Michigan, where she completed her undergraduate and Medical School studies. She completed her internship at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, Radiation Oncology residency at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., where she served as the Chief Resident. She then went on to receive specialized training in Radiosurgery at the University of California, San Francisco. She served for 8 years as the Medical Director of Radiation Oncology at the Nevada Cancer Institute.
She has been the recipient of several academic scholarships, has authored several publications and a book chapter on the use of Radiation in the treatment of soft tissue sarcomas. Locally, she has been recognized as the Top Specialist by Sierra Health and Life, as voted by patients, has been named “Top Doctor” by Las Vegas Life magazine, and was named “Top 40 under 40” by In Business Las Vegas. She joins the team at Thomas Dermatology and will be seeing and taking care of patients with non-melanomatous skin cancers. Dr. Pomerantz is an avid athlete and spends much of her time outdoors with her family. She is the proud mother of two young children, Nina and Neal.

Susie Smith was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She received her undergraduate degree from UNLV and her Master’s Degree in Science as a Physician Assistant from Western University of Health Sciences in 2003. In addition to dermatology training in school, she was trained by Dr. Douglas Thomas and has worked with him since 2003. Susie treats all aspects of dermatology including cosmetic, general, laser, pediatrics and skin cancer treatment. She is married and has two grown children.
Susie is licensed by the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners and certified by the National Commission on Certification Of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the American Academy Of Physician Assistants, Clark County Medical Society, Nevada Medical Society, and Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

Christine Crovetti was born in Los Angeles, CA and raised in Aurora, CO. She began her medical career as an Army medic in 1986. In 1999, Christine graduated from the University of Nebraska via the US Army Academy of Health Sciences as a Physician Assistant. She has 17 years of military medical experience which includes time spent in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait during operation Desert Storm and has been practicing dermatology in Las Vegas, NV since 2003.Christine was trained in general, cosmetic and laser dermatology under the mentorship of Dr. Jason Michaels, before joining Thomas Dermatology in 2012. She enjoys all aspects of dermatology and has a special interest in cosmetics and lasers. Christine is married with one son.

Vanessa was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. She graduated with honors with her Degree Of Physician Assistant Studies, from Daemen College in Amherst, New York in 1998. She then escaped the snow and moved to Las Vegas where she practiced in Pediatrics, Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine. She spent 11 years practicing dermatology locally in Las Vegas before joining Thomas Dermatology in 2013. She enjoys the long-term personal relationships she makes with her patients while helping them maintain their skin’s health. Vanessa is married with three children.

Jordan Spoon graduated with a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Touro University of Nevada. She was raised in Las Vegas, Nevada and graduated from Faith Lutheran High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of San Diego. Prior to receiving her medical degree, Jordan worked as a research assistant in cardiology in Oslo, Norway and in infectious disease in Las Vegas, Nevada. She currently volunteers for Touro University of Nevada’s Mobile Health Clinic serving the homeless community in Southern Nevada. Her practice includes medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.

Galina Serdtsev joined Thomas Dermatology in 2016 as a Physician Assistant, with over a decade of experience in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree and Physician Assistant studies at Des Moines University, graduating in 2003. Galina is knowledgeable in disorders of the skin, hair, and nails and has been involved in several clinical research studies. Practicing in the state of Florida for the first 10 years of her career, Galina is trained in the early detection of skin cancer. She has a special interest in performing procedures and has worked side by side with plastic surgeons and MOHS surgeons during basic and advanced reconstructions, where she acquired extensive experience. In addition, Galina enjoys treating patients of all ages and loves the diversity that dermatology brings to her daily practice. She credits the success of her practice to her strong passion and commitment to her patients. During her free time, Galina enjoys living an active lifestyle, traveling and exploring nature.

Jaye was born and raised in Danbury, Connecticut. In the early 1980’s she moved to Texas and began her career in cosmetics as an Account Executive for a major skin care company. Over time, she became a trainer and educator of multiple product lines. Jaye moved to Las Vegas in 2001 and joined Thomas Dermatology in 2010. Jaye remains up-to-date on the newest trends in skin care and firmly believes in the product lines offered at Thomas Dermatology. Alongside the dermatologists of Thomas Dermatology, Jaye has observed many amazing patient transformations. Jaye is a mother to Austin and Lexie, and she has 2 grandchildren.

Sabina was raised in Northern California and moved to Las Vegas in 2010. Sabina received her aesthetic training and licenses in Hawaii and California and continued her education at the Laser Institute of Scottsdale, Arizona in 2001. Sabina has owned and operated a successful salon and spa in Seattle, WA. She joined Thomas Dermatology in 2011. Sabina cares deeply for her patients and enjoys working alongside the dermatologists of Thomas Dermatology to improve her patients’ skin. In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, cooking and spending time with her twin boys, Zane and Jackson.

Reylina Paliotta was born in Carmel, CA and raised in Las Vegas, NV. She has enjoyed working in the beauty and cosmetic industry for nearly fifteen years. Her initial aesthetic training was at Euphoria Institute of Beauty Arts & Sciences. In 2003, shortly after receiving her Aesthetician License through the Nevada State Board of Cosmetology, she began her career as a medical aesthetician and cosmetic laser technician.
As an instructor for Dermalogica and the International Dermal Institute, Reylina instructed cosmetology students and spa staff in the western region of the United States. She feels honored to have had an active role in training cosmetic lasers and chemical peel application to Physicians and medical students from Chile, Mexico, and other parts of the world.
Reylina is very results driven, genuinely cares for each one of her patients, and looks forward to their visits. In her free time, she enjoys being a makeup artist, family time, outdoor activities, and playing baseball with her son.

Carol Borzage has been working in the medical field throughout her professional career. She began her career working in a neurology office and later became a medical transcriptionist so she could work at home while raising her young children. Most recently, in 2012, Carol became certified as a Pharmacy Technician and has played an integral role in the creation of Thomas Dermatology’s pharmacy. She is a graduate of UCLA in Music Education and sang professionally on cruise ships for several years with her husband before settling in Las Vegas in 1992. In her free time, you will find her singing in the church choir or watching Notre Dame Football with her family.

Clint Law R.T. (T) was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. After relocating his young family to Las Vegas, he began an ARRT accredited Radiation Therapy Technology program at College of Southern Nevada. He completed his medical internship at several radiation oncology facilities here in the valley. He has been a member of American Society of Radiologic Technology since 2013. He works closely with Dr. Pomerantz to ensure that patients have the best possible experience during their brachytherapy treatments.

Novert grew up in Las Vegas, NV and graduated with high honors from Rancho High School in 1996. He received with honors a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology and Healthcare Administration from UNLV and DeVry University in 2000. He has more than 10 years of clinical research experience as a Clinical Research Associate and a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator. Prior to joining Thomas Dermatology, Novert served for 6 years as Clinical Trials Director for dermatologist Karl G. Heine, M.D, planning and tracking all assigned clinical activity in the lifecycle phases of the start up, interim, and close out of the studies. Novert works with multiple clinical research organizations adhering to Standard Operating Procedures, Good Clinical Practice and FDA regulations.
