About Anita Pomerantz
Anita Pomerantz, MD, is a board certified radiation oncologist at Thomas Dermatology’s Post Road office in Las Vegas, Nevada. She focuses on the use of advanced radiation therapy for the treatment of non melanoma skin cancers, offering a highly specialized, non surgical option for patients. Dr. Pomerantz works closely with patients who may not be ideal surgical candidates or who prefer a less invasive approach, providing personalized care with an emphasis on precision, safety, and outcomes.
Dr. Pomerantz was born and raised in Michigan, where she obtained her undergraduate and medical school degrees. She completed an internship at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan, and a radiation oncology residency at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, where she served as Chief Resident. She went on to receive specialized training in radiosurgery at the University of California in San Francisco. Then, she served for eight years as the Medical Director of Radiation Oncology at the Nevada Cancer Institute in Summerlin, Nevada.
Dr. Pomerantz has received multiple academic scholarships and authored numerous publications and a book chapter on the use of radiation in the treatment of soft tissue sarcomas. She was recognized as a Top Specialist by Sierra Health and Life, was named “Top Doctor” by Las Vegas Life magazine, and was named “Top 40 under 40” by In Business Las Vegas.
In her free time, Dr. Pomerantz is an avid athlete and spends much of her time outdoors and with her family.
