A common skin condition that results in patches of inflamed, itchy skin. Eczema is extremely common in children, but can impact patients of all ages. Eczema often occurs in cycles, and flare-ups may be unpredictable, sometimes separated by weeks, months, or even years. Proper care of eczema is particularly important in the dry, arid conditions of the Las Vegas valley, which often exacerbate the condition.
While there is no known cure for eczema, appropriate treatment can reduce the severity and frequency of flares. There are various types of eczema and dermatitis including: atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, dyshidrotic eczema, hand eczema, neurodermatitis, nummular eczema and statis dermatitis. Each of these types require custom treatment plans that will be administered upon your diagnosis.
