Dr. Amanda M. Roberts is a board-certified dermatologist and fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology who practices medical and surgical dermatology at Thomas Dermatology’s Lake Havasu and Kingman, AZ locations.
Dr. Roberts is from Amarillo, Texas originally. She went near to her hometown out of high school to Wayland Baptist University for her first undergraduate degree and studied religious philosophy and education, graduating summa cum laude. She met her husband while in college and they moved to North Carolina as he joined the United States Marine Corps. She then studied biology at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington, obtaining a second undergraduate degree and again graduating summa cum laude. She went on to medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX. After being a military spouse, she decided to serve by joining the United States Army. She completed her internship and residency in dermatology as an active duty Army officer at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium (SAUSHEC) in San Antonio, TX. As an Army dermatologist and medical officer, Dr. Roberts was then stationed at Ft. Sill in Lawton, OK and served as the Chief of Specialty Clinics and Dermatology there. She provided care to active duty personnel, their family members, and retirees in the full scope of dermatologic care. She also enjoyed teaching residents sent to rotate with her. She was regularly recognized for her commitment to her patients and the exemplary care she provided.
Dr. Roberts sees patients within the full scope of dermatology. While not at work, she spends time with her husband traveling. They have a son in college at the University of Oklahoma and regularly go back to the area to visit him.
