Dr. Whitney L. Call is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon with a passion for providing individualized, high-quality patient care at Thomas Dermatology’s Henderson, Nevada and Lake Havasu City, Arizona office locations. Dr. Call was raised in Idaho Falls, ID and received her undergraduate degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from Idaho State University. She then received her medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO. Dr. Call went on to complete both her internship and dermatology residency training as an active-duty Air Force officer at the San Antonio Uniformed Health Services Consortium (SAUSHEC) in San Antonio, TX.
During her Air Force career, Dr. Call first served as a General Medical Officer, providing primary care services for basic trainees at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX. She later served as the Chief of Dermatology at Scott AFB in southern IL, where she sought out various leadership positions to include Assistant Professor at both the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) and St. Louis University, as well as treasurer for the St. Louis Dermatological Society. Dr. Call has presented at local, regional, and national dermatology meetings, and has published multiple articles in the dermatologic literature.
Upon completion of her service in the Air Force, Dr. Call went on to complete fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery under the instruction of Dr. Heidi Donnelly in Dayton, OH. Dr. Call feels an incredible sense of fulfilment when helping patients navigate through their skin cancer removal as well as the intricate, detail-oriented reconstruction designed to ultimately allow patients look and feel confident following Mohs surgery.
Outside of work, Dr. Call most enjoys spending time with her three young daughters - Kamrie, Macey, and Brielle. Additionally, she enjoys early morning workouts, ballroom dancing, reading, and water skiing.
