Brent D. Michaels DO, FAOCD


Dr. Brent D. Michaels is a board-certified dermatologist. He is a long time resident of Nevada and graduated high school from Bishop Gorman and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Nevada, Reno. Before going to medical school, Dr. Michaels obtained a law degree and practiced in Las Vegas, mostly as a Deputy Attorney General for the Nevada Attorney General’s Office. Following his career in law, he entered medical school locally at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Thereafter, he completed his internship and Dermatology residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center where he served as chief resident.

He has had the opportunity to publish articles in numerous peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of Drugs and Dermatology, Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology, Cutis, and Journal of Cutaneous Pathology. He also was a resident co-contributor on the editorial board for The Year Book of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery and a contributing author for the Comprehensive Dermatologic Drug Therapy textbook.

During his free time, he enjoys fishing, traveling, and spending quality time with his family. Dr. Michaels is married to Susun and has 3 beautiful daughters, Lauren, Sophia, and Sadie.
