Dr. Brown grew up in South Carolina and attended undergraduate at Wofford College, where she graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Chemistry. She attended medical school at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. She was admitted to the AOA Honor Society in her junior year, an honor reserved for the top 5% of the medical school class. She then completed a residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where she served as chief resident. Following the completion of dermatology residency, she continued to dedicate herself to patient care, resident and medical student education as an assistant professor in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences for 3 years. During this time, she was frequently awarded the Dean’s All-Star award for high patient satisfaction scores. Following her tenure in academia, Dr. Brown was then appointed as Section Chief of Dermatology at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System, where she remained integrally involved in veteran care, resident and medical student education. The dermatology section at CAVHS is the third largest within the VA system, serving a large rural population. She developed a teledermatology outreach program to help provide care to the rural veterans within the state and region. After more than a decade in Little Rock, she and her family had developed an appetite for a larger metropolitan area with greater cultural, artistic, and air travel access. Dr. Brown, her husband, and young daughter decided to make Las Vegas home in the summer of 2019. They enjoy traveling, hiking, culinary and fine arts. Las Vegas is a perfect fit.
